Winner of the Hard Quiz Mug

Hard Quiz is an ABC program which is hosted by Tom Gleeson. This week Paul Brien, from Norfolk Island, was one of the four contestants on this week’s quiz show, the 2 August 2023. Many will know Paul, he is a member of the Norfolk Island Flora and Fauna Association, the Norfolk Island Men’s Shed, Sunday Markets stall holder, along with other activities on Norfolk Island.

This week’s episode 18, featured a variety of subjects from the four contestants battling to win the mighty “Hard Quiz Mug”.

Paul is fascinated by Australian parrots,

Alex is convinced he will hit cricket bats for six,

Connor has broken so many bones that he’s virtually a specialist

Flick is know-it-all WikiLeaks.

This series was filmed early this year and in February there was excitement at the monthly Flora and Fauna meeting when Paul brought in his trophy, the big brass “Hard Quiz Mug”.

I am sure many here on Norfolk Island will have tuned into ABC on Wednesday evening or streamed the episode and enjoyed watching Paul proudly win the “Hard Quiz Mug”. Congratulations Paul, it is so wonderful we can now share the news that the winner was from Norfolk Island.
