WAGNI Wednesday

WAGNI Wednesday was pleased to welcome Karen Howell, a medical scientist at NIHRACS last night for a public information session on pathology.

We were so pleased with the turn out of interested community participants. No sooner had it started, duty called and Karen was whisked back up to the hospital showing us the on-call side to a day in the life of a medical scientist.

In the 10 minutes we did have her, her passion for her job was evident and she left us all wanting to know more. Karen is more than happy to answer any questions or discuss any topics you find interesting so if you would like to email WAGNI (wagni2899@gmail.com) we will filter those through, and they could become subjects Karen can write about in the weekly paper.

We were all very grateful for the time we had, and all agreed that if we were the patient requiring care it was nice to see dedication of Karen and all the staff at NIHRACS.

We look forward to our next WAGNI Wednesday on to be held at the Knowledge and Learning Centre on 25 Sept at 5pm with another exciting guest host – the fabulous Carter Stormann.
