Update on 000 Emergency response system

20 June 2025

Norfolk Telecom continues to work on issues affecting 000-emergency response calling.

The specialist engineer remains on-island and continues to work through a number of technical problems which have impacted the service. Much of this work is conducted late nights or early mornings to coincide with working hours of overseas contractor teams.

Until further notice, in the event of an emergency please call the relevant number as shown below:

  • Hospital / Ambulance - call 23333
  • Police - call 22222
  • Fire - call 22049

Please share this information with family, friends and other networks. Norfolk Telecom apologises for this inconvenience while we work to rectify the issue as quickly as possible. Further information will be shared as it comes to hand.
