Update from the Soup Kitchen

Carter and Shawn are so grateful for Shaun Robinson and Alex McGillycuddy's efforts to fundraise for the soup Kitchen with Santa photos at Emily and Penalty Kick Box at The Santa Parade Friday.

Dino's Soup night brought in $560 in donations!

We are making about 5-6 boxes a week for different people or families. We had the giant pot in front of Foodies for two weeks for donations, and had to empty it 4 times. Pantry is STOCKED currently. Not just soup and bread, but shelves of sauces, tuna, pasta, rice, beans, coffee, sugar, tea, dish soap and laundry powder. 

Just a heads up to let yorlye know there will be a fundraiser for the Soup-Pot Garden & Food Pantry at the Christmas Pageant this Friday. A Mini Soccer Stadium will be located across from Frank's Shoes in The Village...Alex McGillycuddy and a couple of other Dads (Tom & Ewan) will be running a Santa Soccer Penalty Challenge.$2 an entry and the kids (and/or big kids) get 3 penalty kicks against Santa. Score 1 goal they win a lollipop. Score 2 goals they win a treat from Santas Sack

Score all 3 and win a treat plus go into the draw to win a $50 Bounty Centre voucher.Suitable for little ones 2 years old plus... (Santa will make sure all the little ones win at least a Lollipop of course). Kids in Year 2 and up are fair game and we will not be taking it easy

Shawn & Carter from will have their giant Soup-Pot container for any donations of non-perishable donations as well. Very much welcome especially this time of the year.
