Triple J’s Hottest 100 - Emily Bay 2024

This weekend on Saturday will be an amazing beach day, the Triple J Hottest 100, will be held at Emily Bay one month after Christmas, on Saturday the 27 January. The Triple J Hottest 100, is organised as a fun Norfolk Island summer’s day with everyone invited to join in with their floaties. During the past few years there has been a great range of blow up rings, swans, turtles, you name it, all looking bright and colourful floating in the bay.

During the past few years down at the beach during the summer, there has been a couple of locally made rafts. Christian-Bailey family even had an outboard motor on their table raft, and there is another table constructions with an esky attached which is another creative design by locals.

I expect that the beach will be busy on Saturday as everyone down the beach enjoys the Triple J’s Hottest 100, which will start from 11am and run until about 9pm. The radio station Triple J will play music as they count down the 100 playlist, with speakers set up around the bay.

Come down to the beach for good vibes, good food, cold drinks and good music. Bring your floaties, your sunscreen and sunhats, remember to be sun smart.

The Bar will be open 11am - 9pm. Take care in the water if enjoying a few cold beers down at Emily Bay. Please drink smart and do not drink and drive, find yourself a sober driver.
