What we do.
St John Norfolk Island has a volunteer staff of 15 members who fulfil a 24/7 on-call, First Responder Service to the Norfolk Island Community. St John Norfolk Island follows best practice when interacting with patients suspected of being exposed to or showing symptoms of Covid-19. There is commitment within the St John organisation to keep volunteers, and the community at large, as safe as possible.
When you call for an ambulance, your first point of contact is the triage nurse at NIHRACS, please be as specific as possible with the information you provide to the triage nurse, information such as the nature of the incident, how many people injured, and the seriousness of injuries will help us get you the best possible care in the timeliest fashion. St John Norfolk Island provides support to community events throughout the year, assists with medevacs and patient transfers. If you would like St John present at your next community event, please contact us to request support.
