Prediction

I believe that the reason the Council of Elders can no longer nominate a person of Pitcairn descent has nothing to do with emails or letters voicing concerns and more about ensuring there will not be a majority of Norfolk Islanders, who have descended from any of the eight Pitcairn families, on the committee.

Therefore I predict that there will be one, or possibly none, elected of Pitcairn descent within this committee, as those that care about our community, culture and environment will not be as welcome as those who wish to profiteer at any cost. The members of this committee will far outnumber any person(s) of Pitcairn descent and skew any decision-making that will be beneficial for our island and culture.
