Police Report

20 November 2025

  • Another reminder about reducing speed in the school zone between 8am and 3.30pm when school is in session. We continue to identify people exceeding the 30kph speed limit.
  • Parents are reminded to speak to their children about their responsibilities while operating a vehicle on the roads. There has been a noticeable rise in the number of L and P plate drivers/riders driving dangerously.
  • On Tuesday 25 November the NIPF will be hosting White Ribbon Day at the Helm Café and in the Norfolk Mall. There will be members from the NIPF, Australian Border Force, Men’s Shed, Rotary and St. John’s Ambulance present.
    • White Ribbon Day is a day for men and boys to make a pledge not to commit, condone or stay silent about violence against women.
    • We encourage people to come and say hello to the volunteers and have a conversation about this important cause.
  • Earlier in the month the NIPF hosted the Police Charity Golf Day. It had been a number of years since this has happened and it was a great success. All proceeds are going to Sunshine Club and there was over $2500 raised.
    • The NIPF would like to thank everybody that participated and all those that assisted on the day. Baunti Tours let us have the use of a bus, Allendale Consulting sponsored 2 of the holes, members of the Sunshine Club cooked the BBQ, Kieran Lawler and his team (too many to mention) did the organising and the NI Golf Club donated their green fees. All very much appreciated and I apologise if I have missed anyone.
    • We will see you all out there next year!
