Just wanted to mention again that on Monday 2 December we are having the first Norfolk Island Emergency Services Open Day which will be on the school oval.

The Police, Fire Service, St Johns Ambulance and the Volunteer Rescue Association will be represented.

The day has been organised for the kids from Banyan and the Norfolk Island Central School to have a look at the emergency services vehicles and equipment, get to know the people who work in these areas, ask some questions and most importantly, know who to call in an emergency.

We will be putting on a BBQ for the kids and there will be demonstrations. Please don’t be alarmed if you see a lot of emergency vehicles around the school on Monday.

We are hoping the weather is good and that the kids will have a great time.
