- School holidays are with us again and the weather is looking great. With that comes more kids on bicycles, scooters and also on foot so please take care on our roads and look out for the kids.
- It is also the responsibility of the kids and the parents to make sure that they are looking after themselves. Kids need to be careful around cars and wear helmets while they are riding their bikes and scooters.
- From time to time the police get complaints or questions from residents about the use of Kingfisher Common. That area has been used for a very long time as a place for children to learn to ride motorcycles in a safe and controlled environment. That area of land is open to the public for use and the police encourage anything that promotes the children being safe when they eventually get their licence and start riding on the road. People using Kingfisher Common and the residents in that area have to co-exist so please be tolerant and respectful with each other.
