This is the last week of school for the year and the police want to congratulate all the children who have completed their schooling and wish them the best for the future and also hope that all the children who will return next year enjoy their summer holidays.

This time of year brings a lot more people to the island and a lot more people using the roads. Please be mindful of other road users and have a safe and enjoyable Christmas and new year period.

This time of year also brings the families out to look at Christmas lights around the island. Please remember that if you want to drive with people in the tray of a ute the driver must be endorsed to do so and all people riding in the tray of the ute must be at least 8 years of age and must be seated. These rules are in place for the safety of the people in the ute tray.
