Ebikes

We have been receiving quite a number of inquiries into the e-bikes getting around the island. We have sought further legal advice on these e-bikes and we should receive something back shortly. In the meantime, we will be pulling over any people on e-bikes or push bikes who are not wearing helmets or committing other traffic offences such as speeding. Parents, please make sure your children are riding these e-bikes with care and that they are respectful of pedestrians.

Cows

There have been a number of cattle hit in recent times on Norfolk roads which has not been reported. If this happens, please call Candice in the first instance. Please also attend the Police station and report this collision as I am sure if you hit one of the cattle it would cause more than $500 worth of damage to your vehicle or the animal. When we find the people who have been hitting the cattle and it is not reported properly, they may be facing offences of property damage, leaving dead animals in a public place and a number of animal welfare offences.

School

School is going back next week so please be conscious of the kids walking and riding to school and please pay attention to your speed driving through the school zone.

We hope all the kids had a good time while on school holidays.
