I have heard that the council wishes to charge Sunday market stallholders a percentage of their profits. Please explain what stallholders get from the council to require them being charged.
Given that most people who own a stall aren't charging exorbitant rates, do they expect them to charge more so they can stick their hand out. without having to work for it.
Doesn't this seem a little like medieval times where the people in charge made up 'taxes' to rort the commoners?
