Imagine you are living in a community with an alien as a neighbour. Your neighbour is generous with his money and gives it to others who have fallen on hard times or suffered from natural disasters. You have done your absolute best to keep you and your family safe and secure, but it is getting harder to do so. You are struggling to keep up with the obligations you have, and you consider the possibility of asking your neighbour for some assistance. After all, you live a lot closer than the others he has helped, and you are on friendly terms; he knows you will pay him back as soon as you can, unlike the other people he has helped, where he has freely given money with no expectation of a return.
So, you go to your neighbour, outlining a plan of a temporary loan. Your neighbour agrees to fund you, but there may be a few stipulations. You agree, because you need the money, and you figure he will treat you in a similar way that you would treat him if he had come to you.A little while later, the alien moves into your house. He starts to change the appearance of your house. He dictates what you can and can’t do in your own home. He changes the radio station, takes the TV remote, empties your fridge and sleeps in your bed. He doesn’t listen to you when you complain or query his actions. His family move in as well, and you find yourself a minority with no voice in the running of your home.
They do what they like without consulting you, and squash any attempts you make towards changing things back to the way they were. At first you are tolerant, believing he and his family don’t understand that your culture is unique and you live differently to them. But after a while, you realise they don’t care at all. They're only interested in what they can and will do, with or without your consent. It doesn’t matter who you talk to, it is as if everyone else is prepared to hide the truth of what is happening to you, your family and your home. You try contacting other aliens, who may have insight into helping you solve this problem, but they offer only empty promises. Contacting the media is a waste of time, because the aliens ‘own’ the media and muffle any words you utter. Then the aliens begin a smear campaign, telling everyone how ungrateful you are after all the assistance they have given you, they infer that you have no idea how to look after you or your family, that you are inferior and not intelligent or responsible enough to maintain your home.
This is what is happening on Norfolk Island. The global financial crisis took its toll on Norfolk Island, as it did everywhere else in the world. Australia has helped many other countries in times of hardship and uncertainty, and as our closest neighbour, we went to them to ask for assistance…but there was a price to pay….This page is dedicated to the truth behind the hostile takeover of Norfolk Island and the bloodless genocide that is taking place.
