Our Community Poster has been Delivered!

16 November 2023

On Wednesday 5 November, Brian, Andre, Vickie and Kane delivered the Community Support poster to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich they met with Helen Mears, Head of Curatorship & Research, Robert Blyth, Senior Curator of World and Maritime History, and Aaron Jaffer, Curator of World History and Cultures. They were given an introductory tour of the National Maritime Museum’s Pacific Encounters gallery and were able to view the register. Brian presented the signed letter and it has been formally acknowledged by email.

The group members participated in the ‘Which would you choose?’ gallery interactive which asks museum visitors to imagine what choice they would have made had they been on the Bounty (‘mutiny’ or ‘remain loyal’). I don’t need to tell you which way they voted!

Many thanks to Brian, Andre, Vickie and Kane for delivering our poster. We will keep you all posted of any progress regarding the return of the John Buffett Register of Birthss, Deaths and Marriages.
