Norfolk Island Teacher Consultative Committee – Communique #15

The Committee met for the last time on Thursday 16 December 2021.

The focus of the meeting was the final outstanding issue of employment options for the small number of staff on defined benefits superannuation. Clarification on decision timeframes and processes was provided.

The Chair thanked members of the Committee for their commitment and contribution to the process and the significant efforts to resolve the critical curriculum and employment related issues identified. The Chair also thanked members for their willingness to participate in frank and open conversations which highlighted the value of this forum.

The Committee agreed the forum had provided a valuable opportunity for key stakeholders to be at the table and part of transition discussions.
