Norfolk Island Community entrusted Owners of the HMAV Bounty Cannon.

It has been six years since the HMAV Bounty Cannon was donated to the NI Council of Elders on Anniversary Day 8th June 2018.

The Cannon has been stored in its’ original crate until last year until the Norfolk Island Military Museum at the RSL Club accepted the offer to have the Cannon displayed for public viewing.

A separate and dedicated room has been prepped and now house this magnificent artefact.

The NI RSL will be hosting a pot luck nibble event on Sat 8th June 2024 to officially open the display room.

The Cannon has pride of place, and the NI Council of Elders are pleased to have it available for viewing by Norfolk Island residents and visitors to Norfolk Island.

The itinerary include you if you can make it and all we ask is that you bring a small plate of nibbles to share.

It will begin with a gathering in the RSL club from 11am and then move down to the NIMM at 12pm to open the door to the impressive Cannon display.

The event will cease at 1pm.
