On Wednesday 15 December 2022, The Norfolk Island Court of Petty Sessions held its monthly sittings before Chief Magistrate Wendy Cull.

A 40 year old male plead guilty to low range drink driving after a random breath test on Queen Elizabeth Avenue on 2 September 2022. His blood alcohol reading was 0.075. A conviction was recorded, his licence was cancelled for two months and he was fined $600.

A 19 year old male plead guilty to low range drink driving after a random breath test on Cascade Road on 18 September 2022. His blood alcohol reading was 0.031 and he was the holder of Provisional Licence. No conviction was recorded, his licence was cancelled for three months and he was fined $100.

A 77 year old male plead guilty to mid-range drink driving after a random breath test on Taylors Road on 26 November 2022. His blood alcohol reading was 0.107. No conviction was recorded, his licence was disqualified for three months and he was fined $700.

A 18 year old male plead guilty to low range drink driving after a random breath test on Taylors Road on 25 November 2022. His blood alcohol reading was 0.019 and he was the holder of Provisional Licence. No conviction was recorded, his licence was cancelled for three months and he was fined $300.

A 16 year old male appear in court for low range drink driving. No plea was entered and the matter will be listed for February 2023

A 60 year old male appear in court for low range drink driving. No plea was entered and the matter will be mentioned in the January sittings.
