NICS News Week 5 Term 4

02 November 2023

From the Principal’s Desk

Mr Moore is on leave from Friday, 27 October for the rest of the term for a well-earned family holiday, and we look forward to him returning to NICS in 2024. I will be Acting Principal in Mr Moore’s absence.

On Wednesday afternoon this week, parents of Music students from Years 4 to 12 enjoyed a concert in the Music room. The concert showcased the musical talents of our NICS students and was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to Mrs Dixon for supporting the students in organising the performances.

Over the next few weeks, students are undertaking a variety of assessment in all year levels. Please remind our secondary students to ensure that they check their timetable and have the necessary equipment for each lesson, each day. This includes their laptop charged for the day and general stationery, such as a pencil case and calculator.

If your child is not returning to NICS in 2024, please phone the office to let us know.

Week 5 Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) Focus – Uniform

This week’s PBL focus and lesson is on wearing our school uniform. Please remind students to wear school jumpers only in this cool weather, and to bring their school hats each day.

The school concert, Aladdin, is on Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd of November. Tickets are on sale through the front office. Get in quickly as tickets are selling fast!
