From the Principal’s Desk

A message from the office staff to remind families to purchase their tickets for the school concert, Aladdin. Tickets are selling fast!

A reminder to students and families that they are not to leave the school throughout the day to pick up lunch. Students are required to pack their lunch, have it dropped off or access the canteen. Students are not able to sign out to collect their lunch.

It is that time of year where we ask any families planning on leaving NICS at the end of the year to please phone the office to let them know.

Thank you to Caryn Harrington and the EnviroNICS students for their efforts in supporting sustainability week. The students not only raised awareness of environmental issues but also raised funds which will be donated to NATIN.

At this time of the year there are a lot of assessments happening in class. A general reminder for secondary students to ensure that they check their timetable and have the necessary equipment for each lesson each day. This includes their laptop charged for the day and general stationery, such as a pencil case and calculator.

I will be on leave from Friday, 27 October for the rest of the term for a well-earned family holiday. Alyson Innis, Lead Principal will be Acting Principal in my absence. I look forward to continuing to lead NICS in 2024.
