NICS News Term 4 – Week 1

From the Principal’s Desk

Congratulations to Ava Mullins and Toby Christian for their recent efforts at the QLD State Athletics Championships. Ava place 24^th and 26^th respectively in the 100m and 200m events. Toby finished in 9^th place in the shot put. This is a huge effort considering this is from all students across QLD. Congratulations and well done on representing Norfolk Island Central School.

The end of 2022 is fast approaching, especially for the Year 10 cohort. Year 10 officially finish the year on Friday, 25 November, as is the case in all QLD schools. Prior to this finish date, Year 10 will be completing Work Experience and a volunteering program within the community. Students will be receiving information regarding the arrangements over the next week.

The final day for the remainder of the school is Friday, 9 December. School resumes for all students in 2023 on Monday, 23 January.
