MV Norfolk Sea freight from Brisbane

October - November 2025

The MV Norfolk is due to arrive from Brisbane this week. I have been watching the shipping app and expect it will arrive on Thursday 30 October or Friday. The cargo vessel will anchor at Cascade Bay or Kingston, which ever has calm seas. The Norfolk Island Radio will give the call for lighterage crew to start unloading the sea freight once the weather is settled and the cargo ship is ready for the workers.

Once the unloading has commenced it will continue for a couple of days until the cargo is all unloaded. Everyone will be pleased to receive their sea freight, which includes building materials, food for the supermarket, vehicles and also the Australia Post mail, plus, much more.

Once the unloading of the cargo is completed, the MV Norfolk is scheduled to sail to Auckland, for the next shipment of sea freight. We will all be wishing for calm seas for V505E voyage for the next Australia cargo shipment.

MV Norfolk sails under the Flag of Singapore and is a NPDL, Neptune Pacific Direct Line cargo vessel, built in 2023. MV Norfolk is a “Landing Craft.” It is 1967 gross tonnage, 798m Length and 16.8m Breath.

Once the cargo has been unloaded, we wish the MV Norfolk crew a safe journey to Auckland, New Zealand, and their return trip to Norfolk Island which is scheduled for later in November. Fingers crossed the remainder of the year goes well for the MV Norfolk, lets hope they have smooth seas, after the stormy weather delaying many voyages during 2025.
