The MV Norfolk arrived from Brisbane late last week and anchored at Cascade Bay. On Saturday 13 September the unloading commenced and continued on Sunday at the Cascade Pier. Everyone will be pleased to receive their sea freight, which includes Australia Post mail deliveries, building materials, food for the supermarket, vehicles and much more.
Once the unloading of the cargo was completed, the MV Norfolk then headed to Auckland on Tuesday 16 September, for the next shipment of sea freight. We will all be wishing for calm seas for V504W voyage for the next New Zealand cargo shipment.
Another vessel has also arrived on Norfolk Island this week. Gas Ace was anchored at Cascade Bay on Tuesday and Wednesday 16, 17, September.

MV Norfolk sails under the Flag of Singapore and is a NPDL, Neptune Pacific Direct Line cargo vessel. MV Norfolk is a “Landing Craft.” It is 1967 gross tonnage, 798m Length and 16.8m Breath.
Now that the cargo has been unloaded, we wish the MV Norfolk crew a safe journey to Auckland, New Zealand and their return trip to Norfolk Island which is scheduled for October. Fingers crossed the remainder of the year goes well for the MV Norfolk, lets hope they have smooth seas, after the stormy weather delaying many voyages during 2025.
Thank you for the lighterage crew, truck drivers and shipping company for your continued skills unloading the cargo. Here are a couple of photos of MV Norfolk anchored at Cascade on Saturday 13 September 2025, as the lighterage crew unloaded the cargo for their first day unloading of the sea freight.
