MV Norfolk Sea Freight from Auckland NZ

November 2025

The MV Norfolk arrive from Auckland on Thanksgiving day this week, with the final sea-freight from New Zealand for 2025. MV Norfolk anchored to the South of Norfolk Island upon arrival, and I expect as the cruise ship Scenic Eclipse II is due Friday, they were waiting for the weekend to commence unloading.

On Thursday it was announced that the unloading of the sea freight would commence on Saturday 29 November and continue over the following days until completed. Everyone will be pleased to receive their cargo, which includes building materials, food for the supermarket, vehicles and much more.

Once the unloading of the cargo is completed, the MV Norfolk is scheduled to sail to Brisbane, for the next shipment of sea freight. The last delivery of sea-freight was from Australia at the beginning of November. Once the cargo is unloaded this week, the vessel will return to Brisbane to pick up the final sea-freight for 2025. We will all be wishing for calm seas for V506E voyage for the next Australia cargo shipment.

MV Norfolk sails under the Flag of Singapore and is a NPDL, Neptune Pacific Direct Line cargo vessel, built in 2023. MV Norfolk is a “Landing Craft.” It is 1967 gross tonnage, 798m Length and 16.8m Breath.

We wish the MV Norfolk crew a safe journey to Brisbane, Australia and their return trip to Norfolk Island which is scheduled for mid-December. Let’s hope the MV Norfolk has smooth seas, after the stormy weather delaying many voyages during 2025.

The shipping scheduled shows no deliveries in January 2026, and the first deliveries will be from Brisbane early in February. The Auckland sea freight will not commence until March 2026. This therefore means that during the next three months, there will be no New Zealand sea-freight deliveries.
