MV Norfolk Deliveries from Brisbane, Due last week of August 2024

This week the MV Norfolk is due to arrive from Brisbane early next week, the scheduled date is 28 August. The freight vessel with Australian cargo for the local Norfolk Island community, and it will anchor on the calmest side of the island for the unloading of the cargo. The local Norfolk Island Radio staff will announce if the ship will be at the Kingston or Cascade Pier, and when the unloading will commence. The lighterage crew will make quick work unloading the cargo, it normally only takes a couple of days to complete the transfer of the sea freight from ship to shore.

This week I have been watching the voyage of the MV Norfolk on my ship info app, as it left the Brisbane port and the journey across the Tasman sea to Norfolk Island. By this time next week, the cargo will be unloaded, and the vessel will await the trip to Auckland at the end of September. The last delivery of sea freight from Brisbane was late June 2024 and previous delivery from New Zealand was in late July 2024.

The Shipping schedule shows as from August 2024 for the MV Norfolk. The vessel is scheduled to have a regular shipping service from Brisbane and Auckland, alternating with back-and-forth voyages. These details are subject to change.
