Metro North visiting Norfolk Island

Metro North Health will be on island next week from Tuesday 11^th to Thursday 13^th April.

The teams from the Public Health Unit and Norfolk Island Support Program will be visiting the Norfolk Island Health and Residential Aged Care Service (NIHRACS) and meeting with the Norfolk Island Regional Council and other agencies and stakeholders during their stay.

Led by Dr Emma, a public health advanced trainee, Metro North will also be partnering with NIHRACS to evaluate the local COVID-19 response from the point of view of the health service. This is part of an agreed project collaboration with Metro North Public Health Unit and NIHRACS, as part of Metro North’s role as support partner for NIHRACS under the QLD State Government and Commonwealth Intergovernmental Agreement.

Emma and her team will be conducting talk groups and interviews with health response staff, to hear about their experience of working in this space throughout the pandemic.
