The cruise ship Heritage Adventurer arrived on Norfolk Island on Sunday 16 March. I had been following the vessel on the shipping app, and last week it has been in New Zealand heading north and sailed to Norfolk Island on the weekend.
When the cruise ship arrived the Heritage Adventurer anchored at Cascade Bay and the passengers were able to disembark on the cruise ships’ zodiacs. 106 passengers and 1 crew spent their day on bus tours including bird tours. The morning had some passing rain, but I am sure they all enjoyed exploring our beautiful Norfolk Island.
I have checked my cruise ship schedule list and read that the voyage “Western Pacific Odyssey is a 15-day cruise from Auckland, New Zealand, to Kavieng, Papua New Guinea, or 25-days Auckland to Osaka, Japan. Details show Heritage Adventurer departed Auckland, on 13 March, visiting Norfolk Island, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea.
Heritage Adventurer last visited Norfolk Island a year ago, on 25 March 2024 and anchored at Cascade Bay and approximately 71 passengers were able to disembark on the cruise ships zodiacs, for a day exploring our beautiful Norfolk Island. The previous visit I have listed was on 12 November 2023, and the vessel anchored near Crystal Pool and Point Hunter coastal area and approximately 34 passengers disembarked on the ship’s zodiacs and explored Norfolk Island on personlised tours.
