Sunday 12 November another cruise ship arrived on Norfolk Island, sailing past Kingston and anchored in the sheltered water near Crystal Pool and Point Hunter coastal area. The Heritage Adventurer passengers had disembarked on the ship’s zodiacs, and I heard there were about 34 passengers who came ashore on a sunny day to enjoy exploring Norfolk Island on personlised tours. I read a comment on social media that the cruises ship was only about 25% full, as they were doing a return voyage, so not fully booked.
The cruise ship aged 32 years was built in 1991. Heritage Adventurer sails under the flag of Madeira. It is a smaller cruise ship is operated by Heritage Expeditions New Zealand, with the capacity to carry 146 passengers and about 100 crew. The ship is 122 metres long and 17 meters beam width. There are 84 cabins, on four of the eight decks. Heritage Adventurer is owned by Bunnys Adventure and Cruise Shipping Co Ltd (Bahamas) and last refurbishment was in 2023. Previous names of Heritage Adventurer were, RCGS Resolute (One Ocean Expeditions), MS Hanseatic (Hapag-Lloyd), Society Adventurer.

The last cruise ship to visit Norfolk Island was on Monday 6 November 2023 the smaller vessel National Geographic Orion with approximate 100 passengers and they were able to disembark at Cascade Pier.
The next scheduled cruise ships on my list, appears to be February and March 2024.
The passengers departed Norfolk Island later in the day and continued their journey sailing towards New Zealand. I hope the group who come ashore on Sunday enjoyed they time and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to our friendly shores.
