Have Input into The Management of Norfolk Island’s Terrestrial and Marine Parks

The Director of National Parks is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community for membership of the Norfolk Island National Parks Advisory Committee (NINPAC).

NINPAC’s role is to advise and make recommendations to the Director of National Parks on the planning and management of the national park (including Philip Island), the botanic garden, and the marine park.

Interested people are encouraged to submit their nomination. The final membership will be decided by the Director of National Parks, with members selected according to their knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • conservation of native plants, animals, and ecosystems
  • tourism and promotion
  • marine environment
  • recreational use
  • community views

Expressions of interest will close on 30 March 2024.
