Greenwood Fishing Adventures

18 August 2023

This week in fishing news from Norfolk Island it’s been cold and slow but we still found a handful of quality fish to put a smile on some faces.

The waters around us at the moment are not as clean and clear as usual and to add to that it’s been colder than average too making our warm water bottom fish namely the Red Throat Sweetlip a bit lazy and not too keen on feeding.

On the other side of the coin our Kingfish fishing has been red hot with some nice fish in the 15kg range schooling up. Trolling there’s been a mix of fish caught including this beautiful Wahoo, a few small Yellowfin and Bonito. The week ahead has some more wind but it’s looks short lived so we should be fishing again by mid week. Catch you all soon.
