Greenwood Fishing Adventure

27 July 2023

This week in fishing news from Norfolk Island it’s been cold wintery again but there was a couple of calm enough days to get out.

There were mixed results with most boats having exceptionally slow fishing by Norfolk standards.

Only a couple of smaller boats caught a decent amount for their efforts and they seemed to be closer to shore. The usual species of Kingfish and Sweetlip made up the bulk of catches but there were a few small Yellowfin in the mix to get a few lucky ones some beautiful sashimi.

It’s been a busy time at Cascade Pier recently with two cruise ships and our new cargo ship all working over a 10 day period.

The next week is similar with one more cruise ship, a cargo barge and cargo ship due to unload weather permitting. Hopefully there’s time for some fishing too. Catch you all next week.
