Exceptional speed at the annual Athletics Norfolk Island GIFT

Last Saturday, Athletics Norfolk Island hosted the annual Norfolk Island GIFT Event at the Malcolm Champion Oval, featuring a total prize pool of $2550 distributed among the finalists across the three events. The traditional Gift competition incorporates age and gender considerations, implementing calculated handicap starts to accommodate the mixed-gender and age races.

The Norfolk Island Real Estate Mile crowned Koszta Deszecsar champion, showcasing an exceptional performance in the mile race convincingly securing him the championship, outclassing fellow athletes with his fitness and talent.

In the World Traders 400m event, Dylan Menzies showed his training and fitness had peaked right in time for an outstanding 400m that secured him top place on the podium.

Dylan also regained the title of Gas Centre 100m champion for 2023, duplicating his name on the shield once more.
