Court Results

The Norfolk Island Court of Petty Sessions sat last week and here is a precis of the outcomes:

A male was convicted of Driving Under the Influence of Drink or Drugs. He was fined $1250, had his licence cancelled for 9 months and has to complete the QTOP course.

A juvenile was convicted of Reckless/Dangerous Driving, Exceeding the speed limit and not displaying P plates as required. He received a fine of $360 and had his driver licence disqualified for 3 months. The conviction was not recorded.

A male was convicted of 2 firearms storage offences and 1 charge of Acts Endangering Health. He received a $700 fine for the firearms offences and a 3 month suspended prison sentence for the other offence. These convictions were recorded.

A female was convicted of 2 counts of Common Assault and released on her own recognisance with a Good Behaviour Order for 3 years. The convictions were not recorded.
