Christmas Fundraiser for Zimbabwe King George VI Orphanage and School

18 December 2024

This weekend a fundraiser will be held on Saturday morning, on 21 December. A special Christmas helper will be down the town in Kingston near the Kingston Pier boat shed and lighter boat #4. Santa will be there for special Christmas family photos at 9:30 to 11:30am. $10.00 for three photos which will be sent to your email account.

Grab your Santa hat and come give a little love this Chrissy.

ALL ARE WELCOME!

Mish Ritchie and helpers organised this event over the past few years. The aim is to raise money for the King George VI Orphanage in Zimbabwe. I have researched details about this amazing school, you are welcome to check out their Web internet page or the King George VI Centre, Facebook page.

From King George VI Children's Centre

"The Centre & School – Operations: We provide rehabilitation and boarding facilities to physical disabled children and deaf children from the ages of 3 to 20 years. The Centre works in conjunction with the King George VI Memorial School (a government school) and takes children from all over the country. It is the only secondary education facility in Zimbabwe for disabled children and the only primary school in the southern Zimbabwe. We also have a strong vocational training element for senior students."

This fundraiser is to assist with raising money for Zimbabwe King George VI Orphanage and School. Half of the money raised will be sent to Zimbabwe and the other 50% of the money raised will be donated to a local Norfolk Island charity organisation.
