Changes finalised for Boomerang Bags Norfolk Island

09 December 2021

During the Eco Norfolk AGM in February the Boomerang Bags team requested that they no longer be part of the Eco Norfolk Foundation. This was granted, however the Boomerang Bags team was required to find another incorporated organisation to become a part of.

Liat Baddock, CEO of Care Norfolk, another not-for-profit organisation, responded to the call. Over the past few months all requirements requested by the Eco Norfolk Foundation have been diligently carried out.

Boomerang Bags Norfolk Island, is now totally part of Norfolk Island. We have our own P.O. Box, and our own bank account with the CBA.

All monies raised and donations received will be banked here. We look forward to working alongside Care Norfolk and we especially thank Liat for her time and expertise.

Last week Enviro-NICS held a mufti day and they donated all monies raised to Boomerang Bags. Thank you to the students of NICS, for your  generous donation.

We still require doona covers, drapes and similar fabrics for the making of the bags. Fabric donations can be dropped off any time during the week at our workshop at Mitchell’s Lane, behind P & R. Or to Care Norfolk.

Our workshop times are Wednesday and Saturday afternoon from 12.30 to 3.00pm, new volunteers are always very welcome.

Should you need more information call Marg on 55925.
