Book Accommodation, Tours and Events with Norfolk Online News!

On Sunday, at lunch time, the 27 November 2022, a lovely charter plane spent a couple of hours at the Norfolk Island International Airport, while the passengers explored Norfolk Island on a “Discovery Tour” organised by Baunti Tours. The group of travellers also enjoyed a “Norfolk Island High Tea” during their stop over, which would have been beautiful on our lovely Norfolk Island sunny day.
I took a few photos of the “Pionair Australia” charter plane and shared with the community, and I learnt that this aircraft is a Captain’s Choice flight and it had travelled from New Zealand where the passengers had been exploring beautiful Aotearoa for about ten days. The charter flight departed later in the afternoon, and it flew towards Sydney Australia.
I checked out the internet links regarding the company and learnt that these charter flights are personalised holidays or weekend which can be anywhere across the world. It sounds like the perfect holiday away.

I checked out the internet link and it appears that the charter flight which visited last Sunday is detailed as an Economy Class ATR-72-500. “This private plane proves ideal for outback sightseeing with its wings positioned above the windows permitting optimal viewing. Normally seating 70 passengers, Captain’s Choice charter plane will be reserved for just 48 guests.”
The company also has a Facebook page where they have shared many lovely travel photos, which are inspirational to those who long to start travelling again, now that Covid-19 boarder restrictions have eased. https://www.facebook.com/captainschoicetravel
The aircraft was a “Pionair Australia” charter plane, extra reading about this company can be found on this link above. Here are a couple of images I took of the Pionair Australia aircraft, which was an impressive plane.
