BILLY BRIGHT CHAMPION CROWNED.

The Billy Bright Singles final was played this week between Carla Miles and Tracey Wora, with this competition being for leads and seconds only. These two ladies are up and coming champions of the game and last Wednesday the final was played in excellent conditions plus with the bonus of the game being live streamed via the Club’s face book page. The game got underway in excellent bowling conditions with the early ends being very evenly scored and after 14 ends the score was 12-11 to Tracey and the spectators had a great game on their hands to watch. It was Carla who got the better of Tracey over the next 7 ends to grab the lead 19-15, and then went on with her game. Over what was the last few ends, the shot was taken away from each player time after time and with the score 23-15 to Carla, Tracey played an excellent bowl to trail the kitty for 3 shots with her 2nd to last bowl, but Carla not to be outdone then herself trailed the kitty back to one of her bowls to hold game on the head with just the one Tracey bowl to play. Tracey played an excellent bowl and only need to slide of one of her front side bowls, or hit up her bowl in front of the kitty but alas she went through the narrowest of gaps and suddenly the game was over and Carla claimed the Billy Bright championship for 2021. A great game between two of the Club’s up and coming players in the future.
