Book a trip on the Glass Bottom Boat

25 March 2026

A must do activity on Norfolk Island is a trip out on the glass bottom boat which takes you out on the Kingston Lagoon. Also locally known as the “Glaas Bohtam Boet”, which is operated from Emily Bay, and it gives you an opportunity to explore the underwater world of the coral lagoon.

In January I enjoyed a morning cruise on the “Glass Bottom Boat” with my grandchildren and we had a fantastic time viewing the fish and coral through the glass panels in the base of the boat. Even though I am a regular snorkeler, I learnt so many details about the underwater world, as well as names of corals and local names of fish. The “Glass Bottom Boat” hosts are George and Don are the amazing guides and sharing their knowledge of the lagoon environment. There are two boats each seating 20 passengers.
