ADF to conduct ‘largest’ Talisman Sabre since its inception

The Australian Defence Force is going to conduct its “largest” Talisman Sabre since its inception in 2005, says ADF Talisman Sabre 2023 Exercise Director Damian Hill.

“We’re going to have participants from 13 nations including Australia and the United States operating within the breadth of Australia, predominantly in Queensland, from the tip of Cape York and Weipa right down to Brisbane and then we’ll move into New South Wales, undertake some activity in Jervis Bay,” he told Sky News Australia.

“We’ll also practice for the first time as part of Talisman Sabre a small activity at Norfolk Island.”
