A Most Welcome Addition

29 December 2023

On the 19th December a small white trailer was carefully unloaded from the MV Norfolk. After months of planning Trish Le Mura’s food trailer had finally arrived!

Mine Yus Plet had its debut opening on 26th December at the annual Surf Carnival, serving pluto pups, hot chips and soft serve ice cream. As Trish said, there is nothing like starting a new venture on an incredibly busy day: a case of go hard or go home!

As one of the successful expressions of interest for providing refreshments daun a toun, Mine Yus Plet is to become a regular visitor to Emily Bay and Munna’s, although other venues and party hire are also in the pipeline.

Trish is hoping to serve a variety of food, so the menu for takeaway food will change in the future, but the soft serve will remain constant…and thank goodness in this heat!

In the winter months she is hoping to provide ‘pop up take aways’ with both local and international flavours.

She is most grateful to all those that made her new venture possible; and for the community support she has received since opening her amazing food trailer. One of her customers yesterday said it reminded them of Dr Who’s tardis, because it looked so small from the outside but had so much on the inside.

As a regular customer, I definitely recommend calling in to say hello and grab a bite to eat.
