10 Years of Line Dancing Festivals with Kate Moore

18 March 2022

If you happened to be at last Sunday’s markets, passing Rawson Hall or at Emily Bay on Wednesday afternoon, you will have seen and heard a very happy group of Line Dancers under the instruction of Kate Moore leading her 10th Norfolk Island Line Dancers Festival.

With twenty-nine dancers in her group, Kate ran five Line-dancing lessons from Rawson Hall, which was also the venue for evening dancing. Kate organised themed social night dancing and dinners including a Hippy Night welcome at The Local and a fantastic White Night farewell starting at the Sunset Bar before dinner at The Boatshed. A Gypsy Social Night and Op Shop Night (showcasing great purchases from our Op Shop) provided plenty of opportunity for dressing up fun to go with the dancing.

Kate took her group to Emily Bay to create the Longest Line Dance at Emily Bay - what a wonderful afternoon, and again so much fun and laughter. Kate also ran her own Kate’s 5 Star Extra’s where a number of the group also went to dinner at The Homestead, Barefoot bowling followed by dinner at the Bistro, dinner at The Bounty Bar and Bistro and joining a Taste of Norfolk tour.

At the end of an incredible week of dancing, dressing up, socialising and touring we hope that Kate and all in her group have thoroughly enjoyed their Norfolk Island Line Dancing holiday. Rebecca, Christan and all the team at the Norfolk Island Travel Centre congratulate Kate on 10 years of organizing and hosting incredible Line Dancing Festivals – we have thoroughly enjoyed working with you to make each and every one happen.

We will miss the energy in the air as you depart – and hope to welcome you all back to Norfolk again one day soon.
