Both boys live in Australia but love their second home at 'Pilly-pilly' on Norfolk Island. Wally and Nicki started the Norfolk Window to the World in 2005. Trish

Trish Smith is a new Mum to William who is nearly 4 months old. She got married here on Norfolk to local Chris Smith. Having always loved Norfolk, she moved here in January, 33 weeks pregnant to ensure William was born here, just like his Dad. Her Labrador Angus came over to Norfolk just before Christmas & is loving Island life.

Trish is a Parramatta Eels fan, though also loves her Rugby. Trish & her husband are looking to buy their first home on Norfolk. Trish is looking to combine her love of Norfolk and her love of writing with regular contributions for Norfolk Online.

Rachael

Rachel is a sixth generation Norfolk Islander. Her family is very important to her and she is very proud of her Island home and it's people. Shenever tires of its natural beauty and is always off on 'adventures' - it is a wonderful playground. She's convinced that all of the gorgeous things in life (like Norfolk) come in small packages. Which is lucky, and is further confirmed by her other love - chocolate!

She writes under the pen-name 'Twaa' (Twar). In Norf'k this is the unknown, unmet other person, such as an unborn child or an absent but known person. She has a passionate interest in the Norf'k language and culture. She feels it is a fragile and wonderful legacy and that it is important for everybody with even the remotest association or interest in it to actively participate in its maintenance, preservation and perpetuation. She firmly believes that you cannot take it with you and that we each have a responsibilty to pass it on the up and coming generations.

Cristina

After her first holiday here on Norfolk Island at 6 weeks of age and many summer holidays later visiting first cousins, Cristina and Husband Brandt moved here in 2006 with Children Teddy and Sienna from the Sunshine Coast.

No longer an accommodation Manager, Cristina has a new baby, Jasper and has returned back to her arty upbringing, spending her day painting, making mosaics and plenty of photography on Scenic Norfolk Island. There is also plenty of 'community work' to keep her busy and to lend a hand.

She also teaches social networking and encourages others to spread the Norfolk Island and World of Norfolk message to the rest of the globe.

"I love this community and am happy for a reason to go to the opening of anything, including an envelope. I love being on the Norfolk Online team and sharing this wonderful Island that I call Heaven on Earth through stories and my photos."

Alan

Alan McNeil was born in Scotland in 1970, which means he's (chronologically) wedged in-between Gaelene and Alison.  Alan came to Norfolk Island via Australia, Papua New Guinea, England and Solomon Islands.  He met and married his wife Polini in Solomon Islands, where she continues to work for the United Nations.  He has worked as a draftsman, town planner, a supermarket check-out chick, and for a male strip show (it's true).  Alan contributes articles to Norfolk Online and is sometimes brave enough to put his name to them.  Although he has been on Norfolk for only "5 minutes" Alan has grown to love this island, the environment and the community.

Nicki

Nicki is our most part-time employee and we use her to sub-edit stories from time to time.  She has written a number of natural history, heritage and general news stories for the Norfolk Window and Norfolk Online since their inception. Nicki has worked for Provincial Newspapers Qld and has had her own management consulting business.  Here she works part-time at NICS, BAUNTI ESCAPES and FAB boutique as well as Norfolk Online. She is also chef, housekeeper, dog-walker and master gardener for Wal at their home, Pilly Pilly. When she has the time, she loves to draw, read, write, listen to music, walk and swim. She always has time for yoga, her dogs, and Wal.

Cam (Clark Kent eat your heart out)

Born on Norfolk Island Cameron has only just returned home after living in the big smoke for 5 years and studying photography. 8th generation descendant of Fletcher Christian oddly his mummy found out that she was “up the duff” with him when she couldn’t get over the sea sickness from spending the day on the replica Bounty Ship that visited Norfolk in 1986.  Cam loves many a thing but the top of the list is Country Music, Dancing, Photography and his Family and Friends!

Cameron will be following all that is hot to trot on Norfolk Island and becoming the new journalist to the Celebs and Stars (or as some people like to call it personality of the week).  If you find yourself becoming the talk of the town watch out he will find you!
