Emily Bay Accessibility Program
The next session will be 10am on Monday 18 February. This program provides the equipment and support for people with mobility issues to access to the water at Emily Bay. Dental Clinic
The visiting Orthodontist, Andrew Barry, will be on Island from Friday 1 March until Sunday 3 March. Please call the Dental Clinic on 22910 to make an appointment.

GP Clinic 

Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday 8.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 5pm
Please note the clinic is closed for lunch from 12.30 – 1.30pm.  
Please call 24134 for appointments only during opening hours.

How long should you book your appointment for?
Most appointments with your GP only require 15 minutes.  If you have multiple issues or you think they are complex and will require extensive discussion, please let our receptionist know that you would like a long appointment. This will ensure you have the time needed with your GP and will assist us in managing the GPs time and patient flow.

Health History Update Questionnaires
When you next visit the GP Clinic you will be asked to complete a Health History Update Questionnaire.  These will maintain accurate information on your medical record and therefore assist with your consultation.  Please arrive for your appointment 5 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to complete the questionnaire. We thank you for your assistance in this important task.

Appointments with the Nurse

On arrival at the clinic do not go directly to see the Nurse (to what was known as Outpatients), please make yourself known to our receptionist.   Appointments are required for all non-urgent visits to the Nurse.  You will also need an appointment with the GP. This includes all ear syringing, blood pressure readings and immunisations.

Unable to Attend

Please notify us as soon as you can if you are unable to make your appointment time.  This allows us to offer the time to another patient.   A quick phone call if you are running late also allows for better management of our patient times.

The following locum GPs will be joining the GP team:
Dr Richard Giese will be here from 4th February until 9th March
Dr John Russell will be here from 4th February until 1st March

Child Health Clinic (Drop in Clinic)

When: 8.30am – 5pm 13th Feb
Where: NI-Connect (at the Bounty Centre, next to the Toy Shop)
Nurses: Janine and Jainie
Who: 0 – 5 year olds
Includes: Developmental Assessment, Baby Growth Checks, Emotional and Social Development, Breastfeeding Support, Settling/Sleep Support, Introducing solids

Antenatal Clinic
The antenatal clinic is run fortnightly. At this appointment a midwife will take your full health history, provide pregnancy information and ensures your pregnancy is progressing well and your baby is healthy. You can also discuss any concerns you may have.

Women’s Wellness Clinic

The Women’s Wellness program continues. Interested women of all ages are encouraged to book an appointment (lasting forty minutes) with Dr Jenny Sexton on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.  Please mention ‘Women’s Wellness’ when making the appointment – phone 24134.

Men’s Health Checks (Spanner in the Works)
Following on from the Men’s Health Check events any men interested in a more extensive health check or a skin check are encouraged to book an appointment (lasting 30 mins).  Please mention ‘skin check’ or ‘men’s health’ when making an appointment phone – 24134. 

Breast Screen/Mammography
NIHRACS has now received BreastScreen reports and USB’s with images for all women who have had their BreastScreen back in September 2018. Could we please ask you to come pick up your results from the front reception.
