Norfolk Island Health and Wellbeing Expo Strengthening our Community in today’s World

Thursday, May 17, 2018

Good health and wellbeing brings many benefits for the whole community. Healthier people tend to be happier, play an active role and contribute to the community through their families, local social and spiritual networks, education facilities and workplaces. Health and wellbeing encompasses both physical and mental health components.

With the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to Norfolk Island, commencing 2 July 2018, a community focussed Health and Wellbeing Expo is being planned to not only launch NDIS on Norfolk but also to raise awareness about health and wellbeing more generally.

It will also serve as means of raising awareness of the diverse range of health and wellbeing options available on Norfolk Island as well as the new programs and initiatives such as My Health Record.

The Free Health and Wellbeing Expo will be held at Rawson Hall on Saturday 14 July from 10am – 2pm.

We are hoping to fill Rawson Hall with lots of people and information about health and wellbeing as well as having lots of fun activities and live music. We also hope to have a Community Lunch Market area with lots of healthy and delicious food options.

In order to do this, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from the following individuals or groups:

Exhibitors

Presenters

Musicians

Food and Beverage Providers

If you wish to lodge interest in being part of the Expo, you can find the form on either:

Our Facebook page:  H&WExpo

Or you can email:  healthwellbeingexponi@gmail.com

Or you can call Karen Innes-Walker, Health and Wellbeing Coordinator on 22687 or mobile 52592

Dingo Treasure Review

Thursday, May 17, 2018

An absorbing story for the reader. Setting Norfolk Island and South Australia it tells of deception, greed and mystery. As the crime comes to light detective Ben Cornish tracks his target.

Richard Armour successful Business man and family man on Norfolk becomes unsettled. In spite of living in a virtual Garden of Eden he becomes unsatisfied. He loses nothing but when he hears of an unbelievably valuable opal, life suddenly changes. Even his secret woman means little. He has but one goal. His life is absorbed with reaching that goal.

Murder and greed complicate the plot as the storyline moves along to a dramatic and surprising end. An end which leaves even Cornish blown away.
