Last weekend saw the first proper games of the season and all the teams looked awesome in their jerseys. The club has a good supply of shorts and socks if anyone still needs to purchase some.

This year the NIJRL will be picking a player of the round, who will win a $15 voucher kindly donated by one of our sponsors - Hot Krust Bakery in the Mall. A huge thank you to Lachlan and Kaye for supporting our club and kids. The winner of the $15 Hot Krust voucher this week goes to JD Buffett. Well done JD, your try in the corner didn’t go unnoticedJ.

The State of Origin raffle will be on sale again at the Norfolk Mall on Saturday morning. This raffle only has 3 weeks until it’s drawn, tickets are only $5. Proceeds from this raffle will go towards our Under 14s Rep Team tour to the Gold Coast in October.

The NIJRL would like to hear from people interested in being part of the Under 14s Rep Team tour. The positions of Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Fitness coordinator/trainer and manager need to be filled by suitably qualified people. If you are interested and have the qualifications, please apply in writing to the NIJRL secretary, Luke Collins at secretary@nijrl.nlk.nf or PO Box 846 by Sunday 3^rd June.

On game days, it would be appreciated if no cars drive onto the playing surface, please stay outside of the white lines. In particular please avoid driving around the corner closest to the old Youth Centre.
