From Saturday, 9 June - The Shape of Water, an otherworldly fairy-tale set against the backdrop of Cold War era America, circa 1962, starring Sally Hawkins and Octavia Spencer


Elisa is a mute, isolated woman who works as a cleaning lady in a hidden high-security government laboratory. Her life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda discover the lab’s classified secret — a mysterious, scaled creature from South America that lives in a water tank.  As Elisa develops a unique bond with her new friend she soon learns that its fate and very survival lie in the hands of a hostile government agent and a marine biologist..  Rated MA15+  Winner of Academy Award for Best Picture   “Pure magic 4 ½ stars” David Stratton

The true story of Molly Bloom, a beautiful, young, Olympic-class skier who ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons.  Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and. unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob.  Her only ally was her criminal defence lawyer, Charlie Jaffey, who learned there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led people to believe.  Rated M

This is the powerful, dramatic tale of four characters whose lives intertwine amid the hustle and bustle of the Coney Island amusement park in the 1950s.  Ginny, a melancholy, emotionally volatile former actress now working as a waitress; Humpty, her rough-hewn carousel-operator husband; Mickey, a handsome young lifeguard who dreams of becoming a playwright; and Carolina, Humpty’s long-estranged daughter, who is hiding out from gangsters in her father’s apartment,  Rated PG

From 4 May – Darkest Hour, a powerful, inspirational drama starring Gary Oldman in his Academy Award winning portrayal of Winston Churchill, with Ben Mendelsohn, Kristin Scott-Thomas, Lily James

As Hitler’s forces storm across the European landscape and close in on the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill is elected the new Prime Minister.  With his party questioning his every move, and King George VI sceptical of his new political leader, it is up to Churchill to lead his nation and protect them from the most dangerous threat ever seen.  Rated PG
