From 7 June : ADRIFT, a drama based on an incredible true story, starring Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin

In September 1983 Tami Oldham Ashcraft and her fiancé Richard Sharp were hired to take a 44-foot yacht on the 4,000 mile journey from Tahiti to San Diego.  They could not anticipate that, about half way through their Pacific journey, they would run into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in history, forcing them to struggle to control the yacht in 145-knot winds.  In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins.  With no hope of rescue the injured Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved.  Rated M  1hr 55mins

From 14 June : A PRIVATE WAR, a powerful drama based on a true story, starring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, Stanley Tucci

In a world where journalism is under attack, Marie Colvin, is one of the most celebrated war correspondents of our time.  Colvin is an utterly fearless and rebellious spirit, driven to the frontlines of conflicts across the globe to give voice to the voiceless, while constantly testing the limits between bravery and bravado.  After being hit by a grenade in Sri Lanka, she wears a distinctive eye patch and is still as comfortable sipping martinis with London’s elite as she is confronting dictators.  Colvin sacrifices loving relationships and, over time, her personal life starts to unravel as the trauma she’s witnessed takes its toll.  Yet, her mission to show the true cost of war leads her – along with renowned war photographer Paul Conroy – to embark on the most dangerous assignment of their lives in the besieged Syrian city of Homs.  Rated MA15+  1hr 45mins
