The Norfolk Guardian completed major refit in 2007 and undergoes a survey annually, as well as a Special Survey which is carried out every 5 years. The photo shows the Norfolk Guardian when she last went into drydock in Lyttleton NZ in January 2015
In 2018, the M/V Norfolk Guardian was retire from servicing Norfolk Island. The Norfolk Guardian has been a regular and stable visitor to Norfolk Island since 2000, but her time has come to retire.
Our September sailing to Norfolk Island will be the Southern Tiare v001. The Southern Tiare has been chartered by Norfolk Island shipping until early next year, to allow time to find a suitable replacement vessel to dedicate to the Norfolk Island trade. The Southern Tiare has been to Norfolk Island many times before so we know she is fine to work there and the vessel owners have upgraded her earlier this year in a dry docking in Asia. Updated schedules will be distributed shortly.
We thank everyone for their support of the Norfolk Guardian over the years, and look forward to your continue support of the service as we continue with new vessels in the trade.
