Getting Married? Why not come to Paradise and get married on Norfolk Island?

The Australian Marriage Act 1961 extends to Norfolk. Persons wishing to marry on Norfolk Island would need to contact the Celebrant of their choice. e.g. Church wedding – minister of  religion   or for civil ceremony Registrar Allen Bataille or Midge Evans. 

The Celebrant will supply a document titled ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’ which must be completed by both parties to the intended marriage and returned to the Celebrant at least 1 month prior to the date of intended marriage.  The parties are also required to produce Full Birth Certificates or Passports: 

If parties have been previously married, they must produce evidence of the termination of the previous marriage (certificate of divorce or death certificate).
